walk in the park

 

After parking I noticed a male in his early 20s getting ready for a jog by a picnic table. A female about the same age walked up nearby and was also preparing for a jog, but it never became clear if they were together. She started talking and he seemed uninterested. During the whole preparation she talked and he added a word or two. They must have known each other, as she continued with engaging interest. 

My thought is that either they are a couple, but not living together, or she is thinking "father of my children" and he's not. 

What is strange is how our attitudes and enthusiasm are a big part of our personal interaction. was he playing hard to get to know? Does she always talk too much?
