smart phone market

The smartphone market seems weird. It appears that, like many products, occasionally a great deal comes by, but generally they look too gouge the public .

Phones are slowly perishable, because of the battery. Still they can sit uncharged for years, so sellers don't have to drop prices much. If the phone is becoming obsolete prices may drop, or may get thrown away unsold. Not sure.

The point is that big discounts on phones are rare, and are often gimmicks of high priced monthly provider plans.

They seem more like cars than clothes, when it comes to discounts. The price rarely drops considerably, and you have to act quickly. Great deals can vanish in hours.
