God
There are times in history when God makes it obvious that God is real. For instance with Noah, or with Adam and Eve when they get kicked out of the garden. And then with Abraham when he talks to Abraham directly. And then with Moses and the children of Israel out in the desert. They were covered with a cloud by day and they had a pillar of fire by night. Even so during this time out of the desert the children of Israel rebelled repeatedly, and on multiple times Moses fell down on his face and cried out because of the rebellion of the children of Israel. But once they get into the promised Land you don't see direct mighty miracles or the voice of God as much. God does talk to Joshua but as time goes on God only answers by urrim and thummim and by profits. And then by the time the children of Israel come back from Babylon God isn't talking to them at all in any way discernible. And so it's easy to ignore God or to fall into a routine of worship that is insincere because it just doesn't feel like there's a real relationship there. By the time Jesus comes along there worshiping God for a diligently with their lips but their heart is far from God. They've made up a bunch of traditions and they openly admit that it's not really commands from God. They don't really love God with their heart anymore they're just desperately going through the routines trying to look good.
Jesus rekindles the flame of a personal relationship with your God. Jesus does healing miracles and feeds crowds. Jesus brings people back from the dead. These together with his teachings lead the faithful believers into a strong relationship where they're willing to die for Jesus and their belief that Jesus is God in a flesh body. But then Jesus does something very strange, he comes back to life and then floats away into the sky and disappears. This is the world that we live in today. Jesus can come into your heart but no one can see that, even a person with Jesus in their heart at times wonders where is this Jesus. This Jesus that's going to come back and throw people into the lake of fire, bring in a new kingdom that's eternal and welcome the faithful to the eternal Paradise?
