misery and unhappiness

One of the things it seems like is that people move to certain places because they are iconic. They move to the mountains or they move to the beach or they move to the tropics. They move to Europe are they move to America or Australia or Hawaii. They move to these places because there's the dream that these places hold some sort of magical power that will help them be happy and find their purpose.

But but looking at people that live in these places, they seem unhappy. They want everyone else to leave and let them enjoy their fantasy. It's crowded, there's crime, there's problems, there's high taxes, and everyone else is trying to move there too, so you're in their way. Suddenly you're blocking other people's dream so you're on their radar even subconsciously. It causes misery and unhappiness. Now there's some people who may have lived there for many years and this effect doesn't seem to happen to them. It's the late comers it's the newcomers. They show up but it's really too late. Wherever this place is it's already been ruined. It's miserable, and they are miserable living there. You can see it on their face. They even twitch nervously and look at everyone with a suspicious eye. Get out let me enjoy my fantasy. Let me enjoy my escape. But there is no escape. If you want to enjoy your escape drive out the middle of Kansas somewhere. It's flat it's boring and nobody wants to be there. If you want to escape go there.

Their vast parts of this planet that are empty. In fact most of the planet is actually empty. When you go there no one else wants to be there. It's boring. That's why no one else is there. So if you really want to get away from it all there's plenty of places to do that. But there are some downsides. For one thing the low population actually means that you're someone vulnerable. If someone decides to attack you just screaming help may not do much. You have to become independent you have to be able to defend yourself. And you're going to have to deal with nature, there may be skunks raccoons mountain lions grizzly bears alligators. Who knows what all may be out there in your loneliest escape. But let's say you escaped the desert. There really isn't much out there. And nobody is probably going to come bother you because nobody really wants to go there. What people quite often find in this situation is that they immediately are lonely and bored. They think staring out at some mountain range is going to make them happy in some exciting place. But just go to some exciting place where people have built homes facing the ocean or facing the mountains or facing something that everybody wants to see. They built massive viewing decks onto their homes. But what you'll notice is there's no one out there staring at those views. So you might as well just move to someplace boring if you want to just escape. The problem is you'll be bored and pretty soon you'll be moving back into town or back somewhere else. Somewhere with crime, people, taxes, Satan. There really is no escape here.
