we would REPENT !

 What would it take for the average person to repent and believe the stuff in the Bible? People will cry out to God in times of disaster or impending doom. But it only takes a very short time, sometimes seconds, for people just to snap back to their normal selves when the disaster is over. All that help they were asking for is forgotten, all that repentance they were promising goes out the window. Maybe it wasn't as big a disaster as they thought, or maybe it turned out to be a massive disaster anyway and they didn't get any help so what's the point of turning to God.
