Elon Musk?

Elon Musk and Twitter. The news around Elon Musk right now has gone completely off the chart. People are making all kinds of crazy statements. His mythological success bubble is about to pop and people will realize that he's not a business genius but a rambling maniac.

Nobody runs a successful rocket company and the first ever successful electric car company simultaneously that is some sort of a kook.

If Elon has overstepped his bounds with Twitter and has to back down and follow more traditional business tactics, this won't be the end of the amazing Elon. I saw one article that was saying that. That once you mess up once you're done forever. Well that's ridiculous. How many times has Microsoft messed up and they're bigger than ever.

It does seem a little over the top that he's taking on the media left-wing liberals and he's even starting to do things that are questioning the business model of Google and apples app stores. When it comes to rockets and cars he basically has built standalone units that he could go out and do his own thing, get customers and sell cars and rockets. But Twitter is a little bit different product. And he seems to be determined to attempt a service model that you pay for every month. Well I'm not going to be paying for it. I've never paid for social media or for any of the stuff on Google or anything else. When they say for $1.99 a month we'll do some extra stuff, I just don't do that. Ever. So if Twitter says in order to log in you'll need to sign up for a subscription that cost seven or eight dollars a month that login just won't ever happen.

Also, rockets are a service that governments and very large companies pay millions of dollars to use. They are a very exclusive customer base. And the cars that Elon sells are relatively upscale expensive cars. This is also somewhat of a reduced customer base. But Twitter is something that the general public uses. He may not be used to that kind of a customer base. The cheapo, I want it for free customer base, if you charge we'll just go away.

Then he was saying he would just come up with a third alternative phone. He didn't have a name for it let's call it the Ephone, for Elon. He might need his own phone so that he wouldn't have to pay app fees on Apple and Google. It would make more sense to come up with some kind of licensing agreement or something. On the other hand it would be nice to have a third phone choice. Does Amazon still have a third phone choice that nobody uses? What happened to the Amazon phone? Maybe Elon could partner with Amazon.

Another point is that there are plenty of social media apps besides Twitter and Facebook. So Twitter must watch their step, they could go the way of Myspace .

There are a couple of articles pointing out that people have missed some of their healthcare needs or people have gone to court to keep from being laid off. People get laid off every day that's just the way it is. The media tries to portray it like Twitter and Elon owe people a job. That's kind of weird because my entire life companies have been doing 10 to 50% layoffs routinely. COBRA is the unemployment healthcare option, so use that.
