sinus pain

 Recently I had some sinus pain. It was significant. Unfortunately I'm old and have prostrate issues. Unbeknownst to me if you take Sudafed with an enlarged prostate it will make it almost impossible to urinate. Well I took a Sudafed and sure enough my sinus pain went away, then I couldn't take a piss. Well that's not completely true. It took me several minutes to piss with it dripping out slowly. But about 24 hours later I was back to being able to piss very weakly.

Now there are people that live with pain for years. There are people that live with so much pain that they eventually commit suicide. What is the point of this from God's perspective? What point is there and torturing people till they kill themselves? I prayed this prayer and slowly the sinus pain went away, but you have to wonder what it's going to cost me on judgment Day.

In the Bible you talk big God. You're The God who created the universe out of nothing. You're the god who can see and hear and walk and talk and there's nothing too hard for you to do. You mock all the false gods in the Old testament. You talk about how useless a wooden God is that's covered in gold. But what is the difference between a god that doesn't exist and a God that won't do anything? I guess the main difference is the guy that doesn't exist isn't going to throw you into the lake of fire. Our God may appear to take no action today but in the end he throws people into the lake of fire. But you can't see that today. Today you're suffering from sinus pain and an enlarged prostate. Today you have cancer or you're sitting in the burn Ward with 90% of your body covered in third degree burns. Today you're drowning in the floods of the latest hurricane. All very strange.

Let's say you decide to praise God no matter what. So you're rocking along praising God a little bit but not a whole lot. So God turns your pain dial up to see what you'll do. And so let's just imagine you start praising God a lot. And so God turns up your pain dial some more and you praise God even more. Okay now this sounds sort of strange but from God's perspective he's getting more of what he wants by giving you something that you have no desire for whatsoever. All very strange.
