God and His elite army of killer priests

  Throughout the 1st 5 books of The Bible God maintains this surrealistic attitude that Israel is going to become His elite army of killer priests. They will inhabit the promised land for all of eternity and make Him happy.

But by Genesis chapter 3 it is painfully obvious that human beings are doomed to fail in this assignment. Genesis chapter 3 is the 1st couple of pages of the Bible.

So either God isn't very smart or possibly, the current Bible was always the real plan. Throughout the Old Testament God was pulling our leg. Feigning unhappiness, while slaughtering millions.
